Meet Gabby

My work has always been about relationships.

For years, I’ve had the privilege of caring for dogs one-on-one while getting to know the people who love them.

Along the way, I’ve shared in joyful milestones, changing needs, difficult diagnoses, heartbreaking goodbyes, and the extraordinary bond between people and their animal companions.

Those experiences taught me that true care extends far beyond the grooming table. It begins with listening, observing, and meeting every animal exactly where they are, while also supporting the people who love them.

Today, Grooms by Gabby brings together thoughtful, low-stress grooming and Kindred Crossing Companion Care: a growing collection of resources and support for aging, quality of life, transition, grief, and remembrance.

My approach is informed by grief-tending training with Nici Moon of The Grief Space, completion of the Companion Animal Death Doula course through the University of New England, and The Craft of Council with Tracey Keyturner in North Bennington, Vermont.

Whether I’m helping your dog feel more comfortable during a grooming appointment or creating space for conversation as an animal companion is transitioning, my intention remains the same:

To care for animals and their people with presence, respect, and compassion.

If you’re looking for the convenience of mobile grooming combined with thoughtful, high-quality care, I can’t recommend Grooms by Gabby enough.” - Michelle T.

HOLISTIC GROOMING

Grooming is about more than appearance.

Every grooming appointment is an opportunity to support your dog’s comfort, confidence, and overall well-being.

Every dog deserves to be seen as an individual, especially as their needs change with age or health challenges.

Whether your dog is young, senior, anxious, or simply in need of extra patience, my approach centers on creating a calm and supportive experience.

KINDRED CROSSING

COMPANION CARE THROUGH TIMES OF CHANGE, TRANSITION, AND GRIEF

Kindred Crossing grew from years of caring for animals and witnessing the deep relationships they share with their people.

It extends that care beyond the grooming appointment, offering compassionate support through aging, changing health, quality-of-life concerns, transition, bereavement, and remembrance.

Some people arrive looking for practical guidance and a place to organize their thoughts. Others need space to speak openly, tend to their grief, or honor their companion through personal ritual or ceremony. There is room for both.

This work is not about rushing difficult decisions or trying to fix grief. It is about helping people feel informed, supported, and less alone while honoring the bond they share with their animal companion.

ways I can support you

COMPANION ANIMAL TRANSITION SUPPORT

Gentle, grounded support as your companion’s needs change or they begin transitioning.

Together, we can make space for quality-of-life reflection, meaningful conversations, practical planning, and the questions that arise before, during, and after loss.

BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT

A compassionate place to speak openly about anticipatory grief or the loss of a beloved companion.

Your relationship mattered, and your grief deserves to be acknowledged, witnessed, and supported.

Small, supportive gatherings where grief can be shared in community.

These circles offer space for reflection, remembrance, listening, and connection with others who understand the depth of animal-companion loss.

GRIEF-TENDING CIRCLES

Resources & Reflections

Practical guidance, compassionate insights, and thoughtful conversations for every season of life with your animal companion.
