FAQs

  • Mobile grooming is a grooming service that comes directly in a pet spa on wheels made for taking care of your dog.

I have all the tools and equipment I need to groom your dog right in the comfort of his own driveway or curbside near your yard.

  • I groom Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with a pre-scheduled appointment only.

If you have an emergency or special need outside of my normal grooming hours, send me a note or give me a call. Maybe I can do to help you.

  • I charge an hourly rate for grooming your dog and charge separately for additional services.

See my grooming services for more information on additional services.

    Current rates for grooming:

    • $75 per hour for small dogs

    • $85 per hour for medium dogs

    • $95 per hour for large dogs

  • I accept cash, debit cards, or Visa and Mastercard credit cards.

I do not accept checks or other forms of payment.

We use online and mobile credit card process and can bill prior to the appointment or on-site after completion of your dog’s grooming.

  • After booking your appointment, I will contact you within two business days to confirm your appointment date and time—just in case there is a last minute scheduling conflict on my end—and review your grooming needs.

I will ask that you create a pet profile for your grooming needs.

I will ask for a copy of your dog’s vaccination for my records.

  • Unfortunately no. I can certainly refer you to other groomers, whether in salon or mobile, that best suits your needs.

  • All surfaces will be disinfected and tools sterilized between each groom. Fresh towels are used and stowed away after each use. I am fully vaccinated. Please let me know your preference for wearing a mask.

Appointments

  • An appointment window is a block of time in which I arrive for your appointment.

For example, if you have a 2:00 PM appointment time, I may arrive between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM for your appointment. This is a 15-minute grace period for me to arrive at your home.

If I am running late, I will always contact you ahead of your appointment.

  • I’m currently serving clients from North Berwick south to Dover, and from Kittery north to Ogunquit.

If you’re unsure if I’m able to come to your home, just send me a note and I’ll see what I can do.

    Contact Me

  • Yes.

We ask that you be home and available during the grooming appointment in case of an emergency, or in some cases with an aggressive pet, to assist with a portion of the groom to calm your pet (if safe to do so).

  • The duration of an appointment will vary based on your pet’s size, coat conditioner, and temperament.

Bath appointments are typically finished in an hour.

Grooming appointments will typically take 2 hours to 2 ½ hours to perform.

  • All I ask from clients are three things:

    1) To provide a copy of your pet’s vaccination records prior to grooming;

    2) To provide a safe space to park my grooming van, either in your driveway or curbside on your street; and

    3) To give me the opportunity to love your dog!

I have all the necessary equipment to groom your dog, including electricity and water. My mobile grooming unit is self-sufficient and self-sustaining. I do not require any hookups to your home.

    *Please Note:

Clients are required to clear their driveway of obstacles in preparation for their appointment.

If I am unable to find a spot to park safely, I may need to reschedule your appointment and charge a fee for this canceled visit.

  • I require all dogs to be up to date on Rabies vaccinations, Distemper (DHPP or DPV) and Kennel Cough.

Please note that you must have a signed certificate by a licensed veterinarian. I can not accept rabies tags as proof of vaccination nor can I accept town or city registration documents.

Grooming

  • Your pet’s health and wellbeing come first.

Based on your dog’s health and temperament, we will determine if it is safe to groom or refer you to a veterinarian clinic that specializes in higher-risk grooms. We are unable to accept pets with seizures, heart murmurs, and incontinence.

  • It is common for dogs to not like particular parts of the groom—whether it’s its nails done, face touched, etc.

I use various, holistic techniques to keep your dog calm. However, in the event that your dog is not in the mood to be bathed and groomed, I may ask for your assistance in keeping them calm enough to be groomed by the two of us.

  • Grooms by Gabby is a Flea Free mobile grooming facility!

If fleas are discovered after check-in, then a flea bath will be provided and an additional charge ($50) will be added to the base rate for a bath appointment for your size dog.

To avoid an infestation for others, all grooming appointments that day will be rescheduled until the next available dates.
