GENERAL POLICY

Cleanliness

All tools are deodorized and sanitized between each groom. My grooming table will be sanitized with a non-toxic, pet-friendly disinfectant before and after each groom.

I will leave your driveway or curbside parking space in the condition it was in before I arrived.

Work Environment

As a groomer working on or near someone’s home, I have the right to refuse work if I feel that I am not in a safe space.

Payment

Payment must be made prior the the day of grooming or on the day of the service once the groom is completed. Our service is non-refundable.

I take payment via cash, debit card, or credit card.

On average, it takes 1 1/2 hours to 2 hours for a full groom (bath, blow dry, nails, sanitary, ear cleaning, styled cut). I acknowledge that factors may prolong your pet’s grooming experience, such as difficulty with a certain body part being touched, special attention, etc. No groom will exceed 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Cancellations/ No shows

Please notify Grooms by Gabby 24 hours in advance if you cannot keep your appointment.

No show appointments will be canceled after 10 minutes and a $50 grooming deposit will be applied to rebook.

Please notify me 24 hours in advance if you cannot keep your appointment in order to waive the late cancellation fee. I understand that life gets busy, and last minute cancellations receive a courtesy waiver.

Medical History

Owner agrees to inform Grooms by Gabby of any health risks their pet has, such as collapsing trachea, hip dysplasia, seizures, skin allergies, recent surgeries, etc. and fully acknowledges pre-existing health/ skin issues that could occur.

Grooms by Gabby does not offer ear pluck services. Checking and expressing anal glands will only be done after written proof of approval by veterinarian has been provided by client.

Rabies vaccine (by law) must be up to date before an appointment can be confirmed.

Flea and tick treatments must be up to date. If an infestation is present on your pet, a mandatory preventative shampoo will be applied and the service added to the groom.

Elderly or unwell dogs are more at risk for complications while grooming, especially when not under the supervision of a veterinarian. By choosing my services, the owner fully acknowledges pre-existing health/skin issues that could occur.

Pet Behavior

Getting bitten isn’t fun, so please notify me if your dog is typically unhappy and “nippy” when grooming nails, ears, feet, etc. If necessary, a muzzle or pet cone will be used for the safety of your pet and the groomer. Nail trimming and ear cleaning are included in the groom, but will not be part of it if it’s too stressful for your pet. I reserve the right to refuse service if the pet is a danger to itself or the groomer.

Accidents and Emergencies

Accidents sometimes happen when working with live animals and minor incidents may occur while working with products and sharp tools, such as skin reactions, nicks, cuts, and quicked nails.

In the event of an emergency, you agree to allow me to contact your veterinarian or the nearest clinic for treatment. Medical expenses incurred due to my work will be paid at my expense.

Hold Harmless Agreement

By signing this contract you (or your Agent) agree to hold Grooms by Gabby LLC/Gabby Martin harmless from any damage, loss, or claim arising from any condition of the undersigned pet, either known or unknown to Grooms by Gabby.
